Shakespeare
Playaround
Shakespeare
introduces 7th
through 12th grade
students to the
works of
Shakespeare in an
entertaining way.
In this 50-minute
production, five
actors in rehearsal
clothing, using
minimal props,
cleverly discuss
and present scenes
from
Shakespeare’s
best-loved plays.
Playaround was
originally created
by five actors
(including John
Neville-Andrews)
from the Folger
Theatre in
Washington, D.C.,
in 1981. The
Michigan
Shakespeare
Festival, located
in Jackson, added
this production to
its educational
outreach efforts
this year.
