Ann Arbor Symphony Orchestra

The Ann Arbor Symphony Orchestra has played a leadership role in enriching the musical culture of Ann Arbor and the surrounding area since 1928. Featuring world-class soloists and principal musicians with excellent regional professionals, the orchestra is available to bring concert programs from its main stage series to a concert hall. Four sectional ensembles—a string quartet, woodwind and brass quintets and a percussion ensemble—bring superior educational and concert programs to schools and businesses.

Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra

The Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra (KSO) is a professional orchestra that serves over 100,000 people each year in communities throughout Michigan. Under the leadership of Music Director Raymond Harvey, the orchestra offers a variety of symphonic concerts and chamber concerts, which will suit most facilities and presenting budgets. The KSO’s renowned education programs may be implemented in Michigan communities through residencies programs. In addition to regular symphonic concerts, the orchestra tours summer pops concerts in July.

Midland Symphony Orchestra

The Midland Symphony Orchestra is a regional ensemble of professional musicians from throughout Michigan. Dedicated to bringing the mid-Michigan community quality symphonic events, it performs six concerts each season featuring a delightful variety of major orchestral works, light classics and special pops, with entertaining and informative comments by conductor Carlton R. Woods. “Conductor Woods is both dynamic and exciting in his leadership. It was also a pleasure to hear his short introductions,” The Midland Daily News said. A Saginaw News reviewer noted, “. . . disciplined playing, coupled with appropriately brisk tempi, and energetic and dramatic performances.” The Midland Symphony travels with a variety of ensemble sizes to suit all needs.

Southwest Michigan Symphony Orchestra

The Southwest Michigan Symphony Orchestra (SMSO) is a fully professional orchestra, presenting classical and pops concerts year-round. Under the baton of Maestro Robert Vodnoy, the SMSO performs works from J. S. Bach to Aaron Copland to Richard Rodgers. The ensembles perform indoors and open-air concerts as well as children’s and educational programs. SMSO musicians have performed outdoor summer concerts in several communities along the southwestern Michigan lakeshore.

Traverse Symphony Orchestra

The Traverse Symphony Orchestra (TSO) can provide a full range of instrumental music programs that extend from full orchestra to small ensembles. TSO also books engagements for its youth orchestra and other existing ensembles that provide music-in-the-schools concerts, clinics and workshops utilizing some of the best private teachers in the region.
