The Ann Arbor
Symphony Orchestra
has played a
leadership role in
enriching the
musical culture of
Ann Arbor and the
surrounding area
since 1928.
Featuring
world-class
soloists and
principal musicians
with excellent
regional
professionals, the
orchestra is
available to bring
concert programs
from its main stage
series to a concert
hall. Four
sectional
ensembles—a
string quartet,
woodwind and brass
quintets and a
percussion
ensemble—bring
superior
educational and
concert programs to
schools and
businesses.

Orchestra
The Kalamazoo
Symphony
Orchestra (KSO)
is a professional
orchestra that
serves over
100,000 people
each year in
communities
throughout
Michigan. Under
the leadership of
Music Director
Raymond Harvey,
the orchestra
offers a variety
of symphonic
concerts and
chamber concerts,
which will suit
most facilities
and presenting
budgets. The
KSO’s renowned
education
programs may be
implemented in
Michigan
communities
through
residencies
programs. In
addition to
regular symphonic
concerts, the
orchestra tours
summer pops
concerts in July.

The Midland
Symphony
Orchestra is a
regional ensemble
of professional
musicians from
throughout
Michigan.
Dedicated to
bringing the
mid-Michigan
community quality
symphonic events,
it performs six
concerts each
season featuring
a delightful
variety of major
orchestral works,
light classics
and special pops,
with entertaining
and informative
comments by
conductor Carlton
R. Woods.

Michigan Symphony
Orchestra
The Southwest
Michigan Symphony
Orchestra (SMSO)
is a fully
professional
orchestra,
presenting
classical and
pops concerts
year-round. Under
the baton of
Maestro Robert
Vodnoy, the SMSO
performs works
from J. S. Bach
to Aaron Copland
to Richard
Rodgers. The
ensembles perform
indoors and
open-air concerts
as well as
children’s and
educational
programs. SMSO
musicians have
performed outdoor
summer concerts
in several
communities along
the southwestern
Michigan
lakeshore.

The Traverse
Symphony
Orchestra (TSO)
can provide a
full range of
instrumental
music programs
that extend from
full orchestra to
small ensembles.
TSO also books
engagements for
its youth
orchestra and
other existing
ensembles that
provide
music-in-the-schools
concerts, clinics
and workshops
utilizing some of
the best private
teachers in the

performances of
current concerts
