United States Marine Corps

Produced  and directed an original musical about the Marine Corps.  "Semper Fi" was  the Marine Corps answer to "South Pacific".  With a cast, supporting staff and orchestra of over one hundred personnel, it’s sets were designed to be packed in “Flying Boxcars”.  Over a year in formation, rehearsal  and scoring, it then toured Marine bases for six months.

During Business Career

Archbishop Szoka and Father Jay Samonie appointed Mr. Robinson President of the “Society For Healing and Renewal”.  This organization then sponsored a two day visit at Joe Louis Arena in Detroit, Michigan of Father Ralph Di Orio, a healing priest.  The Archbishop, while desirous of bringing this holy priest to Detroit, was concerned, because in whatever Diocese the healer conducted healing services, the Diocese lost a considerable amount of money.  Joe Louis Arena cost $100,000.00 for two days.  Charging three dollars admission to those who could afford it and with free will offerings, the two day visit grossed $140,000.00.

Wrote and directed many TV and Radio commercials for political campaigns.

Wrote the newspaper advertisement that received the Boston Newspapers award for the best single print advertisement in the 1980 New Hampshire Presidential Primary.

Directed a professional musical, "Paradise Valley Revisited".  The production was underwritten by Ford Motor Company and the Xerox Corporation.  The play was an integral part of the African American Museum’s Paradise Valley Exhibit.  The ten show musical played to near capacity audiences.

Is Vice Chairman, Detroit Thunderfest Gold Cup Races.  The race is televised throughout the world and is the world's largest offshore power boat race with annual operating costs of 1.5 million dollars for this four day July event     

Member, Board of Directors of the prestigious Detroit Music Hall, newly appointed
Produced and directed a “Salute to Sunny Wilson” (Joe Louis’s personal manager) and was instrumental in bringing B.B. King and other stars like Arthur Prysock to appear without compensation at Detroit’s Latin Quarter.

Chaired and directed a musical “Salute to Beans Bowles” , retired musical director of  MOTOWN, and convinced Stevie Wonder to perform gratis.

Metropolitan Detroit Development Authority, Executive Director, Reported to Chairman Walter Reuther.  Executive committee consisted of Henry Ford II, James Roche, President of General Motors, Walker Cisler, Cardinal Dearden and Lynn Townsend, President of Chrysler Corporation.
